Springfield Mass-Mark Twain House-Dr Seuss Memorial Garden-Basketball Hall of Fame-Nubble

We left NYC and headed to Hartford to see the Harriet Bleecher Stowe house, and Mark Twain House.  We had a beautiful day for traveling.  We did make a quick stop to drive through Rye, NY which is where I lived and worked as a Nanny several years ago.  I wish I would have had time to visit with the Robinson's:(  Maybe next time.  The houses we visited were very cool and something I probably wouldn't have done, and I am glad that I did!  We didn't go all the way into Harriet's house.  We did a tour of Mark Twain's House, amazing!  So hot though.  We were soaked from the heat inside and out.

We then drove on to the Dr. Seuss garden.  That was very cute!  Got to love all the big sculptures they had there.  Then we went to the hotel and I think we were all in bed and sleeping by 9pm!  A record so far.  We had a lazy start to the morning and then made a trip to the Basketball Hall of Fame. It was a neat display of all kinds of artifacts and information on the players, and coaches.  They were slow so it was easy to navigate as well.

Then we left and headed for Portland Maine our next stop for the next few days.  We were in dire need of laundry which this hotel has, but it was a failure because the dryer took way to long so we ended up deciding to go to a laundry mat tomorrow;)

I can't forget to add in our quick stop at Nubble to see the lighthouse!  It was postcard perfect!  Plus if anyone has 2 million to spare I would really like this house at the end.  Pretty please?
