This post will have pictures! Today we split up the family. Troy, Kathy, Sophia and Jennie headed to the Holocaust Museum while Cheryl and I headed for the American Indian and then to the Gallery of Art Smithsonian. Loved the American Indian one, we did not have it on our list based on the fact that we live in an area that we can do other places like it. However, last night we drove by it and the tour guide explained how they build it with no corners, its all round, like the circle of life! So we were curious and I am glad we went.
The Gallery of Arts were pretty, it was raining and believe it or not we got an alert that there was a tornado watch! So we hung out walking around looking at all the beautiful art and then leaving during a lull in the rain.
We walked both ways to the National Mall from the house we are renting. It took about 10 to 15 min to get there and it was good training for our 5K walk in Oct.
We are back at the house and are resting up for another day tomorrow. Here are pictures
