Portsmouth New Hampshire-seeing a best friend, more beach time!

Today we headed to a park to meet up with Gina and her two kiddos for a picnic by the ocean.  Gina provided us yummy Moes!   Then we walked over to the Science center for a fun little ocean display.  The weather was once again beautiful, a bit more muggy today but still great.  Then we walked down to a little rocky beach area and hunted for shark teeth, rocks, shells, and sea glass!

Unfortunately that time went by way to fast and we needed to hit the road to make our next stop.  Boston!   We will be here for 6 nights, which is kind of nice to not have to load up the car again and again.  After a nice dinner at the Olive Garden we are back in our hotel.  I have become attached to the bed with ice on my knee and relaxing.  Not sure what we will do yet for tomorrow but I am sure we will figure out something:)   I am looking forward to riding on the duck again sometime this week and getting another duck whistle!

Here are some pictures from today.

Portsmouth-tour of homes/schools...etc

Today we headed to my old house on Pease, which is now Pease international trade port.  It is kind of odd to see it this way.  I have been back a few times since it closed but this time much more was different.  My house was 13 Pinecrest Terrace and it is not there anymore and the road closed.  Then we drove to 45 Park Drive, it was the same as I remembered it.  Yesterday we drove by the house in Kittery which they have rudely painted and fenced in:)   Then by my old high school.  Where I caught John T. on fire in chemistry class.  He once wrote on my facebook messages that he thought he was in "mortal danger" everyday.  Then we went to Prescott Park, then off to a fort to view a lighthouse.

It was another beautiful cool day.  We even stopped to play at a beach for a bit.  Tomorrow I finally get to see Gina and her kids.  Then off to Boston!
