So on Thursday or Friday this week our big trip begins! I am not the best writer or photographer but I hope this blog will help me journal about our experiences on the road.
This trip is a dream come true for me and the rest of the gang. Since I am an Air Force Brat most of the places we lived were near the coast. I have not been back for a long time and am really excited to see a bunch of my old hangouts. Here is the general plan so you have an idea of what we are going to be up to for the next five weeks.
We leave for Washington D.C on Friday the 7th. We will be arriving on Sunday the 9th. The rest of the gang will all arrive via airplane on the same day. We decided to rent a house for this part of the trip, we will be in D.C. for a full week. So the 9th to the 16th of June.
June 16th we will (we is Cheryl and Jennie and of course me) leave for Philly. We will spend two nights there and I will get to catch up with a dear friend Dru and her family.
June 18th we will drive to New York City. We will be in NYC from the 19th to 26th of June. (Lordy I hope I am getting all this right). We decided to go with an apartment rental here as well. While in NYC we will be seeing The Book of Mormon and a Yankees game!
Then we will head even further up into New England. We will be going to Portland Maine, then Portsmouth New Hampshire for a total of four days.
After our Portsmouth part we will drive to Boston, we will be there over the 4th of July. We plan on going to the Pops on the 3rd to avoid a bit of crowds, then watch the fireworks from afar.
We are still ironing out the next parts but hopefully a stay in Niagra Falls is planned. Then we will head to Columbus so I can visit family, then Indiana so we can visit more family.
Then we are home bound! We will hopefully be home before school starts back up:) Just kidding, we should be back around the 12th of July! So stay tuned for pictures and updates!
Yay! I'm excited to see your travels (and know that you all are safe along the way, haha)
