D.C day 4-Andrea arrives and I get my duck whistle!

Today was a fun day!   We split up this morning, Kathy, Troy and Sophia went off to the American Portrait Museum, then ate lunch in Chinatown.  Jennie, Cheryl, and I went to the World War II memorial, then walked past the Korean War memorial, then strolled by Lincoln Monument and finished up at the Vietnam Wall.  We caught a cab back to the house and then Cheryl and I went to pick up Andrea at the airport so that the rest of the crew could keep touring.

We then hurried back to meet up with our 4pm DC DUCK tour!   I was so excited about this trip, and I was not disappointed.  The tour guide was a bit corny but I liked his jokes.  The trip was so much fun, we got some great pictures from the tour.  I was a bit worried that I would not be given a duck whistle because it talked about kids getting one.  However, we ALL got a duck whistle!   I love it!  I think next year I am going to use it to teach my kids how to line up like ducks:)

I took a lot more pictures today!   I also have discovered that I like to take pictures of flags, water, and ducks.  A lot of my pictures need to be edited because they are crooked but I am just going to post them as they are for now.  Just tilt your head a bit.

Tomorrow we are going to tour the capital building!

  1. Love the pictures of you all! I couldn't help but notice Cheryl did not participate in the duck call pictures : )
We were fortunate to be able to do an evening/dusk tour of a few of the monuments when we visited, and the Korean War Mem was one of them. It was stunning and gave me goosebumps to see it close to night.
